Toni Gonzaga and Alex Gonzaga are known to be close-knit sisters, so fans wonder: do they get into fights?
According to Toni, she and Alex get on each other's nerves daily.
The ABS-CBN host revealed in her radio interview with RX 93.1 on January 18, 2021: "Madami kaming fights ni Alex. Siguro hindi kumpleto iyong day kung wala kaming fight.
"Like we're happy-happy talking right now, 'tapos may sasabihin siya. Ikokorek ko siya, 'tapos sasabihin niya, 'Ayan na naman! Ikokorek mo na naman ako!'"
TONI'S TALK WITH MOMMY PINTY RE: ALEX
There was a time when Toni and Alex's mother Pinty had to intervene, and it was Toni who was told to stop picking fights.
"Tinext na ako ng mommy ko na, 'Huwag mo na pakialaman si Catherine. Pakialaman mo na lang anak mo. Kanya-kanya tayong anak. Ako bahala dito. Huwag mo na siyang pagalitan, lagi mo daw siya pinapagalitan. Huwag mo na siya pakialaman, ako na bahala.'
"Sabi ko, 'Ay, nakakuha na siya ng kakampi. Sumbong sa mommy.'"
Catherine is Alex's full name.
Eacht time Alex would get into so much trouble that it would trend online, Toni admitted that she would be the first to tell her off. She would text her sister and a fight would soon follow.
But after some time, Toni began to realize that she was always scolding her younger sister.
She mused, "Lagi ko siya pinapagalitan, lagi ko siya kinokorek. I guess she has her own journey on how she will learn in life... that's how she matures.
"Iyon ang sabi ko sa kanya. 'Gusto mo ba ang life pa ang magpa-mature sa iyo? Gusto mo ba iyong mga tao iyong magturo sa iyo how to grow up? You should learn how to grow up on yourself. Don't grow up in public…'
"But si Catherine kasi, naniniwala siya that experience is the best teacher. Ganoon siya. Ganoon ang gusto niya."

TONI'S TALK WITH HUSBAND PAUL SORIANO RE: ALEX
Later, Toni's husband Paul Soriano gave his thoughts on the matter, and this prompted Toni to reflect on her relationship with Alex.
"You know what, thank God for my husband. Very good naman siya in explaining to me na, 'You know what, you can never change your sister anymore. You can just love her and accept her for who she is.
"'If all the people are already bashing her, condemning her, why would you do the same? Why don't you just love her?
"'I think as a family member, as a sister, the best thing you can do is—yes, she's not perfect, she’s just human. She makes mistakes.
"'Don't let her mistakes define who she is. You should see or look at her how she will grow from this.'
"When Paul told me that, 'Oo nga noh. I'm always mad at her. I'm always scolding her.'"
From then on, Toni decided to become more supportive of Alex.
"Sabi ko, instead of being her mother, I should be a friend sometimes. Iyon na dynamics namin ngayon."
Toni and Alex both celebrated their birthdays recently.
Alex turned 33 on January 16, while Toni turned 37 on January 20.
On Toni's birthday, Alex wrote this message for her older sister: "Most of the time i would hate you for being so overly protective of me but would always end up loving you more because i would realize you just want the best for me.
"Thank you for always taking care of me sisss!"
