Inihayag ni Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero na naiisip na rin niyang magretiro sa politika.
Ayon kay Escudero, halos kalahati na ng kanyang buhay ay ginugol niya sa pagtatrabaho sa gobyerno.
“I’ve been in politics for quite some time, nine years as a member of Congress today 14 years as a member of the Senate that’s makes it 23 and three years as governor that makes it 26,” ayon kay Escudero sa programang “At The Forefront” sa Bilyonaryo News Channel.
“Nearly half my life I’ve served in government and I would want to live and enjoy life… I’m 54 turning 55 this year. I would want to enjoy life too and relax,” dagdag ng senador.
Hindi naman nabanggit ni Escudero ang eksaktong taon kung kailan ito magreretiro ngunit darating din aniya ang panahong iyon.
“Yes, I think that time is coming,” hirit pa ng senador.
