Iminungkahi ni Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman na gamitin na lamang ang P150 milyong confidential fund ng Department of Education (DepEd) sa Special Education (SPED) program nito.
Sa deliberasyon ng budget, nagtanong si Lagman kaugnay ng SPED program na walang pondo sa ilalim ng panukalang P5.2 trilyong budget para sa susunod na taon.
Sinabi ni Davao de Oro Rep. Maria Carmen Zamora, sponsor ng budget ng DepEd, na makakahagilap ng pondo ang ahensya para sa SPED program.
Upang magkaroon ng tiyak na pondo, iminungkahi ni Lagman na i-realign ang pondo ng DepEd sa SPED program.
“And one of the items of expenditures that could be realigned would be the amount of P150 million for confidential funds under the Department of Education. With that suggestion Mr. Speaker, distinguished Sponsor I end my interpellation,” sabi ni Lagman.
Sinabi naman ni Zamora na hahayaan nito ang Kongreso na magdesisyon kaugnay ng paglilipat ng pondo. (Billy Begas)
