Inanunsyo ng infrastructure arm ng San Miguel Corporation (SMC) na binuksan na nito ang bagong access ramp ng NAIA Expressway (NAIAx) sa Tramo, Pasay City.
Inaasahang magpapaluwag ito sa daloy ng trapiko sa naturang lugar at mas magiging mabilis pa ang pagbiyahe patungo sa NAIA at iba pang lugar.
Sa kanyang talumpati sa ceremonial opening na ginanap noong Biyernes, Marso 1, ipinaliwanag ni SMC President at CEO Ramon S. Ang ang kahalagahan ng 800 meter access ramp para sa mga motorista, partikular ang mga dumadaan sa EDSA Southbound mula sa Makati City, o sa northbound, galing sa Entertainment City.
“This Tramo access ramp provides another option for motorists heading to the airport, and other areas in Parañaque City and Cavite province. We believe it can help relieve overall traffic congestion in the area, and improve traffic flow within the vicinity of the airport,” sabi ni Ang.
Pinangunahan ni Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan ang inagurasyon ng bagong access ramp at nagpasalamat ito sa SMC dahil sa patuloy na pagsuporta sa mga proyekto ng gobyerno tungo sa ikagaganda ng ekonomiya.
“The Tramo access ramp has been in San Miguel’s drawing board for a long, long time because they knew it would enhance the efficiency of NAIA Expressway, and improve the mobility of motorists going to the airport,” ayon kay Bonoan.
Bukod dito, sinabi ni Bonoan na kanila pinag-aaralan ang iba pang puwedeng ayusin para sa NAIAx upang maging maluwag ang trapiko sa mga airport terminal.
