Pinasisiyasat ni Senate Deputy Majority Leader JV Ejercito sa Commission on Audit (COA) ang diumano’y pagkakasangkot ng mga resident auditor na sa mga maanomalyang flood control project.
Sa pagdinig ng panukalang 2026 budget ng komisyon noong Lunes, Oktubre 13, tinanong ni Ejercito si COA Chairperson Gamaliel Cordoba kung nagsagawa na sila ng imbestigasyon sa mga resident auditor na nakatalaga sa district engineering office na sangkot sa iregularidad partikular sa Bulacan at Mindoro.
“This is not only DPWH, but of course, sila po talaga `yung primary agency that really undertook or implemented these substandard or ghost projects, kasama `yung proponents. But, `yung DBM was also mentioned, may kasama sa DBM, meron din sa COA,” sabi ni Ejercito.
Bagama’t wala pang naisampang kaso, sinabi ni Ejercito na dapat panagutin ang mga auditor na bigong aksiyunan ang mga sangkot sa maanomalyang mga proyekto.
Sinabi naman ng COA na sinisiyasat ng Fraud Audit Office ang isyu at isusumite ang kanilang findings sa komite sa oras na makumpleto na ito. (Dindo Matining)
