Scattered storms again tomorrow; slowly drying back out

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL)- Storms this afternoon will quickly fizzle out after sunset. The increased cloud cover and early rainfall allowed afternoon highs to be slightly cooler today. Many areas struggling to get out of the mid 80s.

Storms will bubble up quickly Monday, soon after midday. While the severe threat is low, one or two could become severe with warmer highs tomorrow.

Tuesday we will be watching a MCS (Mesoscale Convective System) moving in from our north. There is still a lot of uncertainty if it will hold up, but if it does we could see a few strong storms that evening.

Rain chances will slowly taper off at the end of the week, but stray storms will be possible each afternoon. With less rain, temperatures will ramp up, reaching into the upper 90s by Thursday.
